Utrecht 360

The various locations where the photos were taken

This project was inspired by both the dérivé principle developed by the situationists and by walking artist Richard Long. Utrecht is was my home town, but I only know a very small fraction of it. By taking an arbitrary constraint I hoped to explore my home town in an new and unusual way. Taking Utrecht railway station as a middle point I drew a circle taking my own street as radius. I then defined the route that would follow this circle in the closest way, as well as the points where I would take a 360° panorama photo. The result of this project are the photographs and a visual recording of the walk.
